What Do Occupational Therapists Do?

An occupational therapist helps people who suffer from a disability, injury or illness to regain abilities or learn ways to adapt to living with their conditions.

The disability may be from birth or due to ageing, an accident or illness that occurred at a particular stage in a person’s life.

This includes assessing the client’s competency in carrying out tasks and finding solutions to help them participate meaningfully, all while considering the client’s interests and needs.
